A giclee (pronounced zhee-CLAY) is a high resolution, individually made, work of art produced on a special, large format printer which sprays ink onto paper or canvas. The printer that I use has seven colors of archival ink, and the giclees, when handled with care, are expected to last longer than any other form of color photography. Please see Henry Wilhelm's report on Print Permanence Ratings for more information about image longevity. |
